At one time I envisioned becoming a wildlife photographer, but a few fruitless attempts sitting for hours in a blind in freezing weather dampened my enthusiasm for making wild animals my specialty. I do still like watching and taking photographs of critters. Among western US fauna I've managed to capture are deer, coyote, bison, pronghorn, bighorn sheep and mountain goats.
